Siti & Yazri
This months bride & groom are Siti & Yazri. Their official photographer was David Cheok who no doubt captured many wonderful memories of the bride & groom's special moments. This certain article will most definitely interest many future brides as the attires worn by Siti are most stunning, unique and very up-to-date. I sincerely hope she does not mind sharing these beautiful pictures of herself all groomed up in such gorgeous attire as well of her better half in his attire.
For the couple's akad nikah ceremony, they wore the traditional white where the bride opted for a beautiful lace piece of material with diamante and beading cut into a kebaya. The bride completed her outfit with a full head scarf complete with beading to match her dress. Although no tiara was part of her nikah attire, this bride still looked as stunning as ever which proves that the saying "Less is More" is absolutely true.
As for the brides Berpacar/Berbedak ceremony, the word "sweet" just comes to mind. Her Peachy Pink lace attire most definitely complimented the bride and made her look like a young lady full of virtue. Assuming pink is probably the brides favourite colour, she also opted for pink attire for her bersanding. For this event, the pink was a hot pink songket sewn into a most modern design. The latest 'turtle-neck' design, originating from Malaysian wedding designers has become a fashion statement in the world of South East Asian weddings, i.e Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia. This design is most suitable for brides intending to wear the indonesian tudong style of just covering the hair by tying the scarf to the back instead of our traditional pinning under the chin. Yet, this style might only suit certain brides with a certain shaped face, like Siti who has pulled off wearing this style perfectly and looked as regal as royalty on her bersanding day. On the same day, on the event of their ambil-ambilan, the bride & groom opted for a lighter colour, a beautiful lime green theme which made the couple look fresh and young.
As I have mentioned in a few previous articles, two toned colours are most definitely 'IN'. The bride and groom kept up in the world of fashion with their attire for their Doa Selamat event gracing their guests with their presence for a thanksgiving in baby blue & pink. The bride's attire of 'baby Blue' lace had exquisite details of pink beading on the hems of her dress and gorgeously scattered around the bottom of the trail of her skirt. A most definitely two-thumbs up for her dress-maker. My final conclusion of this wedding is that it looked most definitely like a joyful and colourful wedding. Here are a couple snap shots of Siti & Yazri's most memorable memories taken by DC.
