Ayu and Amir
I came across this newly-wed couple on Pg Sofian's website as he was their official photographer for their wedding. Since I personally think there was a unique twist to their traditional wedding, I opted to share this gorgeous bride & groom with you. I do hope they do not mind this little tribute to them as such a beautiful, unique wedding with a gorgeous couple should always be shared. This wedding event actually took place in September. The Bride, the groom and the pelamin on their Nikah day were traditionally white. The Bride wore a white baju fesyen complete with her head scarf, veil and topped off with a diamond tiara. My impression of this wedding being unique, derived from how the bride's rings were romantically displayed, in a very European style on a white satin ring-bearers pillow. On the evening of the Bride's Berbedak, she opted to wear a cream songket baju fesyen complete with the traditional costume jewellery and the customary red Jong Sarat.
Their Vows on their Nikah Day
Malam BerbedakThe other factor that made me realize that this wedding was so unique, was the Bride's attire during her Malam Berpacar and Majlis Bersanding. She was able the bring fashion's latest trend of two-toned colours, to another level. During her Malam Berpacar, the beautiful bride wore a combination of lime green Chiffon material and what seem to look like pink songket material, tastefully designed into a stylish baju fesyen. For the couples bersanding ceremony, the fabric used was traditional songket comprising of three colours. The songket was set in the colour of red with blue stripes and gold 'flowers'. This couples Sanding attire was a gift from the Bride's father which makes this bersanding a more special moment. Although the fabric for their bersanding was part of this couple's unique attire, one would have to say that it was the design of the bride's dress that topped it all up. Towards the end of their wedding, the newly weds celebrated their Malam Ambil-ambilan and wore matching songket attires in the classic colour blue which no doubt complimented the couple very well. Congratulations to the newly weds! May your journey down this path of marriage be a memorable one. All the best and best wishes from akadnikah.com.
