Weddings this week: Fahmi and Widad

When its meant to be, its meant to be. Imagine knowing each other for so long then in a blink of an eye, you are both married. Such a happy ending. The groom, Muhammad Fahmi Haji Abas finally tied the knot after seven years of courtship to his bride, Widad Haji Abdul Aziz. An extraordinary tale as the bride is actually from Kedah and it is there where they made their marriage official and solemnized their marriage on December 23rd, 2006. Three months later, on March 4th, 2007, their bersanding ceremony took place at the Royal Berkshire, Jerudong Park Polo Club, here in Brunei for the bride and grooms' friends and family to see them both as king and queen of the day.

The bride and groom wore blue and gold threaded wedding attire hired from Usaha Roza Rohaya. Make up artist for the bride was a gentleman that goes by the name of Hisham. The Bride and Groom walked down the aisle towards the wedding stage, which was also hired from Usaha Roza Rohaya. There was a Silat Demonstration as entertainment for the afternoon as well as the traditional music of gulingtangan in the background. Their official photographer, Syed Nasir, took lovely photos of the bride and groom during the ceremony and a photo shoot after the wedding outside on the beach. For their beach photo shoot, the couple changed into another set of wedding attire, gold in colour to match the sunset, and spent a memorable time on the beach with beautiful pictures to show it.
